Suzanne Dennis



As a partner at Wolter, Beeman & Lynch, Suzanne Dennis brings a wealth of legal expertise and leadership to the firm's esteemed ranks. Suzanne's journey in the legal realm began when she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 1994, complemented by a bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Eastern Illinois University in 1991. Proudly rooted in her small-town origins in Newman, East Central Illinois, Suzanne embodies the values and principles that define the firm.

With a career spanning almost three decades, Suzanne's unique perspective is shaped by her dedication to public service. During her eight-year tenure as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Illinois, she adeptly represented the state in civil litigation and defended workers' compensation claims, showcasing her prowess in navigating complex legal landscapes. Suzanne further honed her skills as an educator in the Legal Studies Department at the University of Illinois at Springfield for over a decade. Her commitment to shaping the next generation of legal minds was evident through her creation and coaching of a mock trial team, coupled with her role as the campus pre-law advisor.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Suzanne has been a driving force in the Springfield community, assuming leadership roles as President of the Central Illinois Women's Bar Association, the Junior League of Springfield, and the Springfield High School Booster Club. Her philanthropic contributions extend to her past involvement as a Big Sister with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program and as a mentor to Westminster Presbyterian Church youth as a mission trip chaperone, showcasing her dedication to making a positive impact beyond the courtroom.  She continues to assist with the UIS Mock Trial Team.

A respected member of the legal community, Suzanne is affiliated with the Sangamon County Bar Association and holds admissions before the Illinois Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Her legal practice at Wolter, Beeman & Lynch is dedicated to workers' compensation and personal injury cases against insurance companies, where Suzanne tirelessly advocates for her clients with a commitment to excellence, empathy, and thoughtfulness.
